Mālō e lelei,
Over the last few weeks students in Rooms 7 and 26 have been working on creating animations using Google Slides. We’ve been learning lots of useful tips like the shortcut ctrl-d to duplicate and how to group shapes so that they move together.
Here are some animations by Aayat, Anthony, Rand and Alisha. Let us know what you like about them and what you think we can work on next…
Fairy Bread
As part of our learning about procedure writing and te reo colours , we made fabulous fairy bread. We read a recipe before making it and followed the steps. We got challenged ourselves by trying to name as many colours as we could in Maori.
Book Week in Room 25
The students of Room 25 enjoyed dressing up as their favourite book characters.
Here are some photos showing their clever costumes and happy faces.

Book Week 2022
What an amazing way to end Book Week 2022. The children all looked amazing and were super excited to tell their friends about their character. So many smiles and joy was around the school today. As you can see from the photos a great day was had by all. All week the children have been involved in a variety of different book activities.
Fish!
Kia ora koutou,
Today Rooms 7 and 26 were practising their Google Drawing skills. To create these fish we had to use the shape tool, the fill bucket, group our shapes, resize and rotate them, change the background colour and then duplicate the fish (ctrl-d) to make a whole school of fish!
What do you think of Louie and Emilie’s fish? Maybe you could have a go too…
